September 11 Remembrance at La Centerra, Cinco Ranch in Katy, Texas
The Katy Veterans of Foreign Wars post 9182 (VFW) will hold a special 10 year anniversary remembrance of the tragic events that occurred on September 11, 2001. The VFW special program will be held on Sunday September 11, 2011 at La Centerra at Cinco Ranch in Katy Texas which is located at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd. Post 9182 is the Floyd E. Breedlove post of the VFW.
Post 9182 will do special recognition
of individuals for their contribution and self-sacrifice by having a 21
gun salute along with American flag presentations. All names of the
victims from September 11 will be read. In addition, all Texan’s that have died in Battle since 9/11/2001 will be remembered by calling their names.
The Post will begin the remembrance at 6:30 PM and it will last until
7:30 PM. In the event of bad weather the Remembrance will be moved
indoors to the Katy VFW post which is located at 6202 George Bush Dr. in
Katy.
Let all of us take some moments on 9/11/2011 and remember all of those poor folks who died at the hands of cowards. Let us also remember all the brave men and women who were police officers or firefighters
that either died attempting to save other lives or who are alive today
but suffering from some illness due to the events of that day. Let all
say special prayers for these folks and let us not forget to include in
those prayers the very brave men and women who were on United Flight 93
that made the ultimate sacrifice for their country to defeat our enemy. The terrorist think all Americans are fat, lazy and stupid.
I believe this country over and over again has proven these individuals
totally incorrect with their assumption about the American people. Long live this great country.
