The Katy Texas Master Planned Community of Grand Lakes
This is the second in a series on Katy Texas Master Planned Communities. Grand Lakes is a large Master Planned Community located in the northern portion of Fort Bend County. The first thing you may notice about Grand Lakes (aside from the many lakes that meander through the community) are the large central parks in each section. Grand Lakes is made up of five sections with each section having a large central lawn for residents to meet, walk, or play. Each section is full of walking trails, community pools (for Grand Lakes residents and their guests only) and pocket parks for children (just so you know Grand Lakes is loaded with children!). Housing prices will run from about the $170's to over $600,000. The community also includes two patio home sections that appeal to empty nest buyers as well as seniors and dinks (dual income no kids). Grand Lakes was developed by Trendmaker...they are also the largest single builder in Grand Lakes. They have set the community up to encourage neighbors to become friends! The location of Grand Lakes is one of it's biggest selling features! To the south Grand Lakes borders on the Westpark Tollway (for a quick commute to the Galleria area and the Med Center) and it straddles the Grand Parkway...just minutes away from I-10! This community is a favorite of Energy Corridor transferees because of it's close proximity to I-10 and because it is located in the award winning KISD school district. If you are relocating to Katy, Texas put Grand Lakes high on your list of must see communities!
