Author Andrea White has written a book about a struggling middle school boy who wants to fit in and be popular.  This young man, who has cerebral palsy,  is inspired when he learns about how Winston Churchill made something of his life, even though he was teased for stuttering and was not your typical kids The book is called "Window Boy" and is truly inspirational.  Mrs. White is also the wife of Mayor of Houston, Bill White, and will share some realities of her experiences.   Meet her at The Brookwood Community for an enjoyable talk and luncheon, for $19.95 including tax and gratuity,  on September 11, 2008, 10:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. RSVP after August 18 at 281-375-2149 or email Lynn at LynnL@brookwoodcommunity.org

I love this bookstore.  My kids love to bring their old books and trade them for some newer ones and they like to play there and read a few more books before leaving.

I hear that they even offer after school reading/English comprehension tutorials.

A very friendly and fun atmosphere.  I highly recommend this place.
