Children will have the opportunity to get into the water and learn swimming from certified swimming instructors.

I heard on a news program a several months ago and confirmed once again in the last few weeks the second leading cause of death among young folks (18 and under) is drowning. I personally believe Swimming has always been and will be a critical life skill. My two children and my two step children have all at one time or another worked as lifeguards at various pools and facilities. Several Katy residents have pools in their backyards and water safety is so very important to the whole community. If you or children do not know how to swim,  Katy Aquatics Group hosts Swimming and Pool Safety Event is a must attend function. Katy Aquatics offers on a regular basis swimming lessons.
