Dog Park in Katy Texas

Dog Park in Katy Texas

The City of Katy Texas has a dog park which has been in existence since 2007. This park is located at 5414 Franz Road Katy Texas and is physically located just behind the Katy Branch Library. It accommodates all dogs and is open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk. This facility is good sized being 14 acres in total and is very popular drawing point for local residents. The Park is operated by the City of Katy Parks and Recreation department. Additional information about the park can be found by clicking this point. Katy Dog Park Katy Texas

The park has a water spigot; several benches to sit on; a pond, rinse station for your dog; and numerous shade trees. The Park has been planning to add agility equipment so one can give their dog even more exercise. Children under the age of 10 years are not allowed inside.

The Park holds several dog events each year and I recently wrote and posted a blog about an Easter dog related happening and you can read this article by clicking here.

Katy Texas has many residents who own dogs and love their pets. This is an excellent facility for all to enjoy. Obviously this is an entry into the April 2012 Pet Project Contest.
